The meeting of Foreign Ministers from the countries of Visegrád Group (V4) and Eastern Partnership continued on Wednesday with a plenary session.

The main points on the agenda at the meeting between the Foreign Ministers and high ranking European Union representatives were further opportunities for developing cooperation between the EU and the countries involved in the Eastern Partnership programme, primarily with relation to the fields of transport infrastructure, the establishment of a civil society, education and healthcare, the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed Hungarian news agency MTI.

Prior to the plenary session, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó held bilateral negotiations with his Moldovan counterpart.

“We agreed that Hungary would continue to be a committed supporter of Moldova’s European integration efforts. In the interests of developing economic cooperation, I asked the Moldovan Foreign Minister to assist in improving the market positions of Richter and Budapest Waterworks”, Mr. Szijjártó told MTI following the meeting.

“We have offered up thirty scholarship places and convened a meeting of the Economic Joint Committee for July in the interests of developing trade relations”, the Minister added.
