“458 respirators and 25 thousand test kits arrived from China during the past few hours”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced in a video on his Facebook page on Monday evening.
According to the Minister’s post, State Secretary heading the Foreign Ministry’s coronavirus working group Levente Magyar personally received the cargo plane from Nanjing, which brought the largest shipment of respirators so far to Hungary. “The team at the Foreign Ministry’s Covid-19 centre is continuing its work, and accordingly the equipment necessary for healthcare protection will be arriving in the country throughout the week”, the Minister wrote.
In the video, Levente Magyar said the cargo plane is full of respirators, which will immediately be distributed to Hungarian hospitals. Hundreds more respirators will be arriving during this week. With relation to the 2000B respirator, the State Secretary said it is a “particularly sophisticated model”.
