“More than seven million masks and 660 respirators have arrived in Hungary over the past two days”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on his Facebook page prior to Wednesday’s cabinet meeting.
The Minister said he will be able to tell the Cabinet that six aeroplanes and three heavy goods vehicles transported the equipment needed for healthcare protection to Budapest on Tuesday and Wednesday. “These brought a total of 7 million 200 thousand face masks and 660 respirators” he stated.
“With relation to protecting health, we are continuing to prepare for a long-term defence”, he highlighted. “Our task is to ensure that the equipment needed for successful healthcare protection is available to doctors, nurses and others working within the healthcare system”, Mr. Szijjártó stated. “Accordingly, further shipments will be arriving during the course of the week”, he emphasised.
