Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó consulted with Croatian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vesna Pusic by telephone, seeking an explanation for the incidents observed in Croatia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade told the Hungarian News Agency MTI on Friday.
The Ministry reported: Mr Szijjártó sought an explanation as to why Croatia is transporting unregistered migrants in the thousands to the Croatian-Hungarian border.
As Vesna Pusic “referred to an alleged interior minister-police agreement, the Hungarian Minister made it clear that this is an utter lie; there is no such agreement, and there never was one”, the Ministry informed MTI.
They highlighted: Mr Szijjártó instructed Hungary’s Ambassador to Zagreb to hand over a letter of protest to the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in which Hungary condemns Croatia’s “conduct which is utterly contrary to European law”.
