Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó has expressed his condolences to his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry following the terrorist attack on the Sinai Peninsula.
The Minister’s condolence telegram, the details of which were provided to Hungarian news agency MTI on Saturday, states that the Hungarian Government condemns the Friday terror attack in the strongest possible terms, shares in the grief of the Egyptian people, expresses its deepest sympathies to the families of the victims and wishes the injured a speedy recovery.
“The attack has once again proven that the terrorists respect neither life nor faith, and regard all peace-loving nations and religions as their enemy”, Mr. Szijjártó added.
“The Government is highly appreciative of Egyptian security forces’ efforts to combat terrorism, which greatly facilitates the maintaining of peace and stability not only in Egypt, but within the whole region”, the Hungarian Foreign Minister stressed.
