Minister of Foreign Affairs Péter Szijjártó met with Chairman of Polish Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee Gregorz Schetyna to discuss bilateral relations on Friday in Budapest, the Ministry wrote in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI.

According to the statement, the parties reaffirmed the special relationship between Hungary and Poland and agreed that this must be maintained in the long term.

They declared that Visegrád Group (V4) cooperation greatly contributes to increasing the strength of both countries and so everything possible must be done to further tighten V4 relations.

The parties also agreed that compulsory resettlement quotas do not provide a solution to the migration crisis, the statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade reads.
