Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó met with the Speaker of Morocco’s House of Representatives, Habib el Malki.

The parties agreed that the migration crisis can only be solved by handling its causes.

It is also in the interests of North African countries for the European Union to make it clear that it is not allowing in illegal immigrants, the two politicians noted.

Mr. Szijjártó and Mr. el Malki also told the press that four direct air passenger routes will be launched between the two countries every week from the end of October, enabling direct air access from Budapest to Marrakech and Agadir. In addition, 99 Moroccan students began their studies at Hungarian universities this September.
