Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó received France’s Minister for European Affairs, Nathalie Loiseau on Friday.

During the meeting, the two Minsters discussed solutions to the challenges facing the European Union.

The standpoints of France and Hungary coincide on several points, and accordingly the parties agreed on the importance of free trade agreements, that closing the Brexit negotiations with a comprehensive agreement is in the mutual interests of all parties, and that the opportunities must be established to enable decisions on who is eligible for asylum status in Europe to be made outside the territory of the European Union.
