During a telephone conversation on Tuesday, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó thanked his Estonian counterpart, whom he called a true friend and a good ally, for standing up for Hungary.

In a Facebook post, the Minister said he and Urmas Reinsalu absolutely agree with relation to the most important dilemmas of global politics; they both reject double standards, fake news, and the stigmatisation of other countries.

Mr. Szijjártó highlighted the fact that the Estonian Foreign Minister “refused to bow to the application of any pressure and did not criticize Hungary, despite the risk of being stigmatised by the liberal mainstream”. “I thanked him for his support of Hungary, and he said I can continue to count on him in future”, the Minister declared.
