Hungary, as a dedicated supporter of Serbia’s EU accession process, provides expert assistance in addition to political support for the accession negotiations and Serbia’s preparation for its future role as a member state.
Serbian diplomat Branislava Perin Jaric arrived in Budapest within the framework of this support. She will study the handling of EU affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade from 23 March onwards, for two weeks.
The diplomat will hold discussions about current issues of the enlargement process, common foreign and security policy issues on the agenda, as well as about Hungarian and Serbian views on the state of the Western Balkan region and the prospects of regional cooperation.
The visit also provides the Serbian professional with an opportunity to get to know how EU affairs are coordinated in Hungary at the competent Secretariat of the Prime Minister’s Office.
Branislava Perin Jaric was received by Minister of State for Economic Diplomacy Levente Magyar and Deputy State Secretary for the Opening to the East Policy Dr. Csaba Balogh at a courtesy visit.
