“Six airliners operated by Wizz Air recently landed in Beijing and will be bringing over four million face masks and over one hundred thousand sets of protective clothing to Budapest on Saturday”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced in a Facebook post on Friday.

The politician held talks with CEO of Wizz Air József Váradi. At the meeting, the Minister highlighted: “Wizz Air is playing a key role in ‘the largest repatriation operation in Hungary’s history’, and in transporting the equipment needed for healthcare protection to Hungary”.

In addition, Mr. Szijjártó also received a delegation from Huawei, which was led by Managing Director of Huawei Technologies Wu Biqiang. The Minister highlighted the fact that Huawei is one of the most important companies with relation to the digital transition of the global economy, and the company is also realising important investment projects in Hungary, and provides jobs to over 300 people. “In addition, the company is also contributing to healthcare protection since, amongst others, it has donated 50 thousand face masks to Hungary, which arrived in Budpaest on Friday morning”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade stated.
