The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade was shocked to hear about the flooding that has occurred in Mallorca, Spain, in which according to the information currently available at least eighty people have lost their lives, many have disappeared, and many have had to be rescued from the flood-wave.

Our consular service is in continuous contact with the local authorities, and according to the latest information they have provided no Hungarian citizens have been affected by the flooding. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade would like to take this opportunity to express its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wish the injured a speedy recovery.
