The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary is deeply concerned about the current situation on the Korean Peninsula, and it deplores the recent escalation of tensions on the border between North and South Korea.

Hungary shares South Korea’s democratic values and sees the Korean Peninsula’s stability as being in the international interest; it therefore denounces any provocation aimed at destabilising the peninsula’s security. Hungary calls on the parties involved to show restraint and to continue their important dialogue in a peaceful manner.
