Hungary utterly condemns every threat or act of terrorism; this condemnation naturally applies to the alleged murder of Tomislav Salopek.

We offer our deepest condolences to those directly affected by his death; we also once more affirm that the means employed by the so-called Islamic State are repugnant, and that the principles it represents stand in opposition to generally accepted principles of civilisation and humanism.

Hungary will do everything in its power to protect its citizens, and to this end will seek to act at national level and also to utilise the opportunities provided by international cooperation.
