The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is deeply shocked by the violent events that occurred at the Parliament of Ukraine on 31 August 2015, following the voting on the amendment of the constitution concerning decentralisation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade offers its solidarity to the relatives of the deceased and wishes quick recovery to the people injured in the incident. The recurring acts of violence underline the importance of setting the path for peaceful, legal ways of sustainable development and of accelerating reforms.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade repeatedly confirms its support for the reforms in the neighbouring country and stands by Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, to which it is also ready to contribute by sharing its experience.
