It was with deep shock and sorrow that Hungary learned of the heinous murder of the Prosecutor General of Egypt, Hisham Barakat, a leading figure of combating terrorism.
We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of the deceased and to the people of Egypt. Hungary remains fully committed to supporting the authorities in Egypt in their resolute fight against the forces of international terrorism.
