The Government of Hungary condemns all forms of terrorism and is concerned about the latest events in East Jerusalem and the West Bank.

The recent violent attacks and the increasingly intense clashes between Israeli security forces and Palestinians are threatening with further escalation of the situation. We call on the parties to refrain from all violent activities, since the long term objective is a sustainable solution to the conflict. Hungary will continue to support the two-state solution which can only be achieved by reintroducing direct and substantive negotiations between the two sides.
