Dr. István Mikola Minister of State for Security Policy and International Cooperation in the presenece of the governor solemnly inaugurated the street lighting system developed by Bán Manufacturing Support Ltd. in El-Fasher, the capital of Sudan’s North Darfur state on 4th October 2016.
The Hungarian technology, BEREG LED, which uses solar energy represents the export of Hungarian knowledge-based hi-tech to a developing region of Africa, in accordance with the policy of Opening to the South. The approximately 2200 lamp posts provide public lighting for a city of half a million inhabitants. The project paves the way to further successes of the Hungarian enterprise in the entire region.
