Hungary welcomes the progress and the agreement in principle reached on 2 April by the high level representatives of the European Union, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Russia and the People's Republic of China.

In the light of the joint action plan, we hope that the final comprehensive agreement may be reached at the EU/E3+3 negotiations with Iran until the deadline of 30 June. This agreement could pave the way to normalise relations between Iran and the international community, and within that with the EU and its member states.

Hungary has been committed to reaching the comprehensive agreement through diplomatic channels and will consistently do so also in the future.
