“The equipment needed for healthcare protection must be provided”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó declared in a video message posted to his social media page on Sunday.

In the post, the Minister said: “Nobody knows how the coronavirus pandemic will develop in future, and whether or not there will be a second wave”. “Whatever the case, we must also be prepared for the worst-case scenario”, he said, adding that accordingly, the China-Hungary airlift will continue to operate.

“Several planes also shipped the equipment needed for healthcare protection to Budapest this week, including 1800 respirators and 1 million 800 thousand face masks”, Mr. Szijjártó said in the video.
