The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary was shocked by the news of the terrorist attack committed on 15 March in Lahore, Pakistan during the ceremony on Sunday near two Christian churches. The attack so far has caused the death of 15 people, including the security personnel of the police in addition to worshippers.

As a result of the attack, roughly 70 people were injured – some of them are in critical state.

The Ministry condemns the attack in the strongest terms like every terrorist attack. It is our firm standpoint that no disagreement, conflicts or any circumstances can justify similar attacks that only lead to further hostilities and confrontations.

The Ministry expresses its deepest sympathy to the relatives of the victims. We support the fight against terrorism of the Pakistani government that aims to establish the conditions of stability and development.
