The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade firmly condemns the terrorist attack carried out on 15th January, 2016 in Burkina Faso, causing the death of 29 people.
The attack according to our knowledge claimed the lives of those Canadian, Portuguese, Swiss, French, Dutch and U.S. citizens, who as foreign diplomats, businessmen and workers of international organizations have been working on the development, the political consolidation and the economic enhancement of this country in need.
Hungary is outraged by the act of terrorism targeted against innocent people and regards it as an exceptionally severe deed, which is wholly unwarrantable. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade expresses its deep condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and to the Government of Burkina Faso and supports the efforts of the leadership of the country aiming at restoring security.
