The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade strongly condemns the terrorist attack committed on Tuesday, in which six members of the Jordanian security forces lost their lives and fourteen were injured.

The Jordanian security personnel had been deployed in the northern part of Jordan to assist in screening refugees and in providing care for them in the Syrian border region.

Hungary offers its deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and wishes a speedy recovery to those injured. We confirm our solidarity with Jordan, which as a frontline country is making every effort to combat terrorism and to ensure the safety and proper care of Syrian refugees.
