The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade expresses its condolences and deepest sympathy to the victims of the terrorist attack committed on 22 November 2014 in the Mandera county of Kenya claiming 28 lives, to their families and to the government of Kenya.

During the attack, the terrorists separated non-Muslim passengers from the 60 people travelling on the bus on their way to Nairobi, and brutally murdered them.

The Hungarian public is shocked and deeply concerned by the terrorist activities in Kenya, which particularly affect the Christian population due to the religious intolerance and discrimination of the perpetrators.

Hungary rejects all forms of terrorism and considers it as an unprecedented serious crime.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is urging to call the perpetrators into account as quickly as possible, and supports measures that serve the restoration of Kenya’s security.
