At the event of the Hungarian network of the Enterprise Europe Network held in Budapest, Minister of State for Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Levente Magyar said that the Hungarian National Trading House is one of the most important pillars and a flagship of Hungarian export performance.
The Hungarian Network of the Enterprise Europe Network functioning under the aegis of the Hungarian National Trading House held its annual reception on Wednesday. The Minister of State emphasised that the tendency of Hungary’s export growth is stable; the preceding year’s growth trend continued last year: exports increased by 4.1 per cent based on data from January to November 2014.
In his address Mr Magyar said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade was established with the aim of bringing the representation of national and economic interests into the focus of Hungarian diplomacy in foreign markets and emphasised that the Trading House is the flagship of this new approach.
Hungarian National Trading House CEO György Kerekes stressed that Enterprise Europe Network is capable of supporting future Hungarian exporters, by assisting them in finding and in exporting to third country markets. Anita Henglinger, the regional leader of Enterprise Europe Network, introduced the first operating cycle of the national consortium closed on 31 December 2014. She emphasised that the associates of the Hungarian consortium provided consultancy service to 13,000 clients and organised more than 12,000 negotiations at business forums.
The number of international agreements concluded with the help of the consultants of the Hungarian network of Enterprise Europe Network throughout this period is close to 400. The European Commission founded the organisation supporting business activity in 2008, by now it brings together 600 business promotion organisations in more than 50 countries. Its main aim is to support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises on the global market.
The national network is led and coordinated under the aegis of the Hungarian National Trading House by the “Hungarian Trade Development Ltd.” (Magyar Kereskedelmi-fejlesztési Kft.). Currently, five county-level chambers of industry and commerce, two business promotion foundations and one private company are the members of the Hungarian consortium.
