The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade regards the letter sent to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó by one of the United Nations’ commissioners responsible for human rights, Fionnuala Ni Aoláin, according to which Ahmed H’s rights have been violated in Hungary, as outrageous and absurd.

In a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI on Tuesday, the Minister said the UN commissioner is criticising Hungarian law and the Hungarian proceedings, and believes the Hungarian Government used Ahmed H. in a “defamatory campaign” during the National Consultation.

According to the commissioner, the Hungarian regulations on terrorism violate human rights, meaning the man referred to as Mr. Hamed in the letter is not a terrorist.

The Ministry highlighted the fact that Hungarian law is clear and serves the security of the Hungarian people. “We will continue to regard everyone who attacks the border and the police officers defending it as a terrorist”, the Ministry stated.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade regards it as unacceptable that pro-immigration forces in Brussels and the UN have joined ranks to defend terrorist Ahmed H. in opposition to the people of Hungary. It regards the UN commissioner as one of George Soros’s people in view of the fact that she is one of the directors of the Open Society Foundation, the Ministry added.
