“Following the decision by the European Parliament’s Committee on Legal Affairs, nobody can have any doubt that the plan based on which Brussels is working on settling refugees in Europe does indeed exist”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on Kossuth Radio’s “Sunday Papers” program.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade said the decision was opening the door for millions of illegal immigrants to enter Europe.
“In addition, they want to introduce a compulsory, endless and permanent mandatory resettlement quota with no upper threshold”, he added.
“This decision means the security of Europe has been given up totally, because until now there has been agreement at least in speech with regard to the fact that illegal and economic migrants must be differentiated from refugees, but now even this has come to an end”, Mr. Szijjártó explained.
He pointed out that 27 major terrorist attack have occurred in Europe during the past two and half years, claiming the lives of 330 people and injuring some 1300 others.
“And these acts of terrorism are directly and closely linked to illegal immigration, in view of the fact that illegal immigration has given terrorist organisations the opportunity to send their fighters to Europe’, he stressed.
Mr. Szijjártó also spoke about the fact that the heads of government of EU member states cannot afford to break away from reality or the will of the electorate. “It is no wonder that citizens throughout Europe are rejecting illegal immigration to an increasing extent”, he said.
