In response to the destruction of cultural heritage in conflict zones, UNESCO launched its #Unite4Heritage campaign on 28 March 2015.

The initiative strives to counter the propaganda of cultural cleansing and the destruction of cultural heritage by mobilising people across the world with a view to protecting the common heritage of mankind.
