“Yet another cargo plane arrived in Budapest from Shenzhen, China on Sunday with 1 million 365 thousand face masks aboard”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced on his Facebook page.
Two other planes are already awaiting landing permission in Beijing and Shanghai, “so they can land in Budapest early tomorrow morning bearing many tons of cargo”, he added.
In his post, the Minister emphasised that the supply of protective equipment to doctors, nurses, police officers and military personnel must be continuously assured, even during the Easter holidays. “Accordingly, the China-Hungary airlift responsible for keeping them supplied with equipment can also not be suspended”, he added.
Mr. Szijjártó also spoke about the fact that this Easter it is not possible to hold large family gatherings, but there are also many who are not even able to celebrate the holiday with immediate family. “These are the people who are on duty even at such times: doctors, nurses, police officers, soldiers. They are never on holiday, not even at Easter”, he said.
