Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó held talks with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the parties agreed that precautions and vigilance must be maintained, because the level of coronavirus infection will continue to increase in many countries in the near future.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó discussed results relating to protecting against the coronavirus pandemic and international politics concerning Israel with the United States President’s Senior Advisor on the Middle East Jared Kushner.
“806 enterprises submitted their applications within the framework of the competitiveness-increasing funding program, undertaking to realise 377 billion forints (EUR 1.09 billion) in investment projects; the government is providing up to half of the value of the investments realised in the interests of protecting jobs for all applications that are legally valid, and accordingly the government has increased the budget for state funding to 169 billion forints (EUR 490 million)”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said at a press conference in Budapest on Wednesday.
“The Hungarian and Croatian borders may now be reopened, and accordingly people who travel to Croatia will no longer have to enter quarantine”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced on his social media page on Wednesday.
“The European Union must allow member states to pay over 800 thousand euros in funding out of their own budgets towards job-creating and protecting investment projects”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a video posted to his social media page on Tuesday.
“We expect more respect from those Croatian politicians who in recent days have been criticising Hungary and spreading fake news with relation to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s State Secretary wrote on his social media page on Tuesday.
“The diversity of the Hungarian economy is indicated by the fact the enterprises that have applied for funding within the framework of the competitiveness-increasing program are active in over 30 different sectors of industry”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said at a press conference in Budapest on Tuesday.
“All enterprises will be receiving the requested funding towards the investment projects they have undertaken to realise within the framework of the competitiveness program; the government has more than tripled the originally planned budget”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in Budapest on Monday at a funding certificate award ceremony at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
“The primary task of the European Union must be to create jobs for the people of Europe, to replace European workplaces lost in the coronavirus pandemic”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on his Facebook page following Monday’s session of the EU’s Foreign Affairs Council.
“All border crossing points between Slovenia and Hungary will be opened from Tuesday”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced on his Facebook page early on Tuesday morning.
