“The Chinese authorities are supporting Hungary to ensure that it can acquire all necessary protective equipment from the Asian country”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a Facebook post on Thursday.
“Hungary is continuing to provide assistance towards combatting the novel coronavirus epidemic to neighbouring states that are in difficulties, and these activities are fully in harmony with the related European Union policy”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó declared following a videoconference of EU development affairs ministers on Wednesday.
“The cooperation between the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia is testing exceptionally well during this difficult period, and accordingly the parties will be continuing and further tightening that cooperation within the field of combatting the novel coronavirus pandemic”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó emphasised following a videoconference meeting of Visegrád group (V4) foreign ministers on Wednesday.
“Five million face masks, a hundred and forty respirators and over thirty thousand hazmat suits are arriving on Wednesday from China”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a video posted to his Facebook page.
“The countries of the Visegrád Group (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, the V4) are performing extremely well in handling the pandemic, which also indicates the importance of deepening Central European cooperation”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó declared on Tuesday following a video meeting with the Polish Foreign Minister.
“Some 31 million face masks, 133 thousand test kits and 152 respirators have arrived in Hungary to date”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in his report to Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee with relation to the coronavirus epidemic on Tuesday.
“National responses work best in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic; Brussels coordination has taken a back seat”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said at Tuesday’s session of the National Assembly.
“They are spreading lies, distortions and pieces of fake news about the so-called Hungarian coronavirus act”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó declared on his Facebook page on Sunday.
“Hungary donated protective healthcare equipment to North Macedonia on Monday to enable the Western Balkan country to combat the pandemic being caused by the new strain of the coronavirus as effectively as possible”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in Skopje.
“Saturday’s balance-sheet for the China-Hungary airlift: some 4 million face masks, over 400 thousand pieces of protective clothing, 100 thousand protective goggles, 30 thousand pairs of gloves and over 6 thousand plastic visors”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on his official Facebook page on Saturday.
