“The international liberal mainstream has once again launched an all-out attack on Hungary”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday in response to the international criticism of Hungary’s governing parties with relation to Tuesday’s parliamentary mandate provided as part of protecting against the coronavirus pandemic.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó held talks on assuring the unrestricted flow of goods and border crossing opportunities for commuters on Tuesday.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó has come to an agreement with his Croatian counterpart on Hungarian-Croatian cross-border commuting, according to a statement posted to the Minister’s Facebook page on Sunday morning.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó has come to an agreement with Slovakian Economy Minister and interim Foreign Minister Rihard Sulik on the fact that the two countries will be reopening the border crossing station at Somoskőújfalu, which has been closed because of the coronavirus epidemic, thus enabling Hungarians and Slovakians who live on either side of the border to commute to work using the border crossing station. Mr. Szijjártó made the announcement in a Facebook post on Sunday.
“We must prepare in the long term with relation to protecting against the epidemic; this has already become evident, and this long-term protection must be realised within several areas”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI on Saturday.
“Two charter flights will be taking off next week to pick up Hungarians who have become stranded in North America”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced on his Facebook page on Friday. The Minister asked everyone who would like to return home to Hungary on one of these flights to register at the closest foreign representation.
