“The Hungarians who have been evacuated from the city of Wuhan are symptom-free”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Minister of State for Information and the International Representation of Hungary Tamás Menczer said in a telephone statement to Hungarian news agency MTI on Sunday afternoon.
“The Hungarians stranded in Wuhan could be brought home with French assistance; the aeroplane that will be transporting them is expected to leave the Chinese city in the small hours of Friday morning”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Minister of State for Information and the International Representation of Hungary Tamás Menczer said at a press conference in Budapest on Thursday.

“The pharmaceutical industry is playing a key role in the dimensional transition of the Hungarian economy. The production-orientated Hungarian economy is increasingly moving in the direction of an economy that is inspired by innovation, research and development”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said at the ceremonious signing of the strategic partnership between the Ministry and the National Association of Hungarian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (MAGYOSZ) on Tuesday.
“The dimensional transition of the economy must be continued, and accordingly Hungarian investment policy is encouraging development projects rather than production”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on Tuesday at the year-opening event of the German-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Deutsch-Ungarische Industrie- und Handelskammer, DUIHK).
“There are still no reports of any Hungarians having been infected as a result of the Chinese coronavirus outbreak”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s State Secretary for Information and the International Representation of Hungary emphasised at his press conference in Budapest on Sunday.

Hainan Airlines’ new air passenger service linking Budapest and Chongqing was given an official welcome at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport on Friday. The new service means Hainan Airlines is returning to the airport after an interval of nine years. Hainan Airline’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner’s will be flying to and from the two cities twice a week on Mondays and Fridays.
