“Indonesia and Hungary are establishing a 500-million-dollar joint investment fund that will create the institutional opportunity for Hungarian enterprises to take part in the Asian country’s extremely serious transport and water management infrastructure development projects in an organised manner”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced following talks in Jakarta on Thursday.
“It is in Hungary interests for natural gas to arrive in Hungary via as many sources and supply routes as possible, and Turkmenistan is in possession of the world’s fourth largest natural gas reserves, following Russia, Iran and Qatar, and accordingly we have an interest in gas from Turkmenistan being able to reach Europe”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s State Secretary for Information and the International Representation of Hungary Tamás Menczer said on Tuesday in Budapest following a session of the Hungary-Turkmenistan Inter-Governmental Committee for Economic Cooperation.
“Without nuclear energy, Europe will not be able to realise climate neutrality by 2050, and accordingly the European Union must cease its negative discrimination against atomic energy”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on Tuesday in Prague in his lecture at the 6th Central European Atomic Energy Conference.

The two new air passenger services to Budapest launched by Shanghai Airlines at the end of last year were given an official welcome at Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc International Airport. The first flights arrived from Shanghai via Xi'an and Chengdu on 30 and 31 December, and are taking off twice a week according to the published schedule.
