The state budget will allow for an increase in support for national minorities in Hungary by over HUF 2 billion (EUR 6.3 million) in 2016, Minister of State for Churches, National Minorities and Civil Affairs Miklós Soltész said in Budapest at a press conference on Wednesday.
Mr. Soltész said that the 2016 budget approved on 23 June provides for HUF 8 billion for national minorities, an increase of HUF 2.063 billion for this year.
The spokesmen of the seven national minorities expressed his gratitude for the support at the press conference.
