The fourth ISCD Information and Cyber Security conference organized by the Hungarian National Security Authority was held in Budapest on 8-9 September 2014.

The conference touched upon the current issues of cyber security and discussed the means of cooperation between NGOs and the State.

The fact that the event was attended by more than 300 people, among them 60 non-Hungarian specialists, demonstrates the growing interest and commitment for the topic.

At the opening day of the conference presentations were held by Minister of State László Tasnádi, Chairman of the National Security Authority Mihály Zala NATO Assistant Secretary General Sorin Ducaru and Chief of cyber security at NATO’s Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) Ian West.

Representatives of the Hungarian Government and the business sector were also present.

The main goal of the conference was to refresh the already existing communication about cyber security, since raising awareness is of key importance.
