The Slovenian and Hungarian Ministers of Interior will meet to discuss border control and patrolling regulations.

The Hungarian Defence Force deployed a barbed wire fence along the Slovenian-Hungarian border on the morning of 25 September 2015 for experimental purposes; the fence was removed in the afternoon. The Minister of Interior stresses: The wire fence was deployed purely for the purposes of experimentation, in view of the border security fence that needs to be constructed along the southern stretch of Hungary’s border. To prevent any misunderstandings, Minister of Interior Sándor Pintér will meet with Slovenian Minister of Interior Vesna Györkös Znidar on the border at 09:30 a.m. on 28 September 2015 to discuss the system of border control and patrolling. The heads of police of the two countries will continue to inform each other with regard to activities on or near the Slovenian-Hungarian border in future.
