In contrast to the communication published on the Internet portal rtl.hu at 6.45 p.m. on 15 September 2015 under the title “Refugee crisis: there is no common position”, the Hungarian Government was represented by Minister of Interior Dr Sándor Pintér at the extraordinary meeting of the Justice and Home Affairs Council held in Brussels. Members of the delegation were Ambassador Dr Péter Györkös, Deputy State Secretary Dr Krisztina Berta, Head of Division Dr Péter Stauber, and justice and home affairs diplomat Dr János Szacsúri.

In addition to the official programme of the extraordinary meeting, the Hungarian Interior Minister attended the consultation of the V4 ministers, and a number of bilateral and multilateral meetings. Among others, he met with Commissioner Dimitris Avramopulos, Bulgarian Interior Minister Rumyana Bachvarova, Dutch Immigration Minister Klaas Dijkhoff, Austrian Interior Minister Johanna Mikl-Leitner, and had courtesy talks with Romanian Internal Affairs Minister Gabriel Oprea.
