On Wednesday Minister of Interior Sándor Pintér received Swedish Minister for Justice and Migration Morgan Johansson, in the Ministry of Interior in Budapest.

The delegations reviewed current issues related to the EU’s asylum policy, with special regard to the appropriate protection of external borders, asylum-related solidarity and accountability, and implementation of “Dublin transfers”.

Mr. Pintér explained the details of the asylum proceedings being conducted in the transit zones on the Hungarian borders, and introduced the Government’s draft proposal package on illegal migrants.
