The Minister of Justice inaugurated the new building of the Brunszvik-Beethoven Event Centre and Library in Martonvásár.

Minister Trócsányi emphasized the role of these premises that are intended to convey music, erudition and pedagogy. The personalities the Centre and Library are named after contributed to the prosperity of our country through this town, Martonvásár. The memory of Ludwig van Beethoven is compatible, among others, with the unique Kindergarten Historical Museum.

The Minister highlighted the following from the national avowal at the beginning of the Fundamental Law of Hungary: “We believe that our national culture is a rich contribution to the diversity of European unity.”

According to Minister Trócsányi, the Fundamental Law of Hungary is not a collection of paragraphs but “the expression of a nation’s heart: a confession about the past and a vision of the future. It is such a synthesis of ideas and notions – like nation, culture, Europe, unity in diversity – that revive at this venue as well.”

The Brunszvik-Beethoven Event Centre and Library as well as the Kindergarten Historical Museum were realised from HUF 320 million (EUR 1 million), partially financed by the European Union. A theatre, an exposition area, offices and the Für Elise Café can be found among the premises.
