The Hungarian Government will not tolerate hate speech Minister of Justice László Trócsányi said at a conference in Budapest on 30 October 2015.

People’s freedom and dignity requires that their faith, religion and identity are respected, Minister László Trócsányi said. However, in the age of globalisation, the internet and social media, there are obviously limitations in the legal regulation of this area. Countries must cooperate so that a global or at least a European framework for legal harmonisation is created, he stated.

Minister Trócsányi said the competent Hungarian and Israeli ministries would jointly organise an international conference on the subject of internet hate crime next spring.
