Minister of National Development Miklós Seszták held talks in Lisbon on Wednesday on energy policy and investments.
First he met the chief executive of Portugal Telecom to discuss Hungaro Digitel, in which the Hungarian state holds a majority stake through its holding. Mr Seszták said Portugal Telecom held 45 percent of Hungaro Digitel shares while Antenna Hungaria, recently purchased by the state, held 55 percent. The parties discussed the new ownership structure of the company and future plans.The chief executive of Portugal Telekom expressed interest in investing in Hungary, the Minister added.
Mr Seszták also held talks with the Portugese minister for environment, regional development and energy who assured him of support for Hungary on the South Stream gas pipeline project.
