During the German presidency of the European Union, the elaboration of a new migration strategy has gained momentum, the Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister said on the public service television news channel M1 on Wednesday.
György Bakondi added that the Hungarian government supported the negotiation of a package, and would seek to avoid the conception of migration regulations that were contrary to its objectives relating to the enhancement of security and the halting of immigration.
He said Hungarian diplomacy is taking part in the elaboration of the new package, and is making efforts to prevent the migration processes of recent years from becoming permanent.
On Kossuth Radio’s programme ‘Good morning, Hungary,” Mr Bakondi highlighted that according to governments forming part of the liberal party family, every immigrant must be integrated, despite the fact that in many cases the new arrivals refuse to accept the laws of the recipient country.
