“Europe cannot afford to have millions of migrants arriving in its territory illegally every year”, the Government Spokesperson declared on M1 Hungarian television’s Thursday evening current affairs program.
“As soon as migration becomes a mass phenomenon, all we can do is to try and deal with its consequences. In contrast, Hungary is attempting to stop the causes of illegal immigration”. Zoltán Kovács said.
According to the Government Spokesperson, “extremely major forces” want to have the mandatory relocation quota adopted at the Brussels summit of EU leaders. “However, the countries of the Visegrád Group are making a joint stand against the mechanism”, he added.
“All of Europe should not assume responsibility for the irresponsible actions of some countries last year”, Mr. Kovács highlighted.
