According to the Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister European people’s sense of security has been shaken in recent years, they have become mistrustful and have recognised the negative phenomena resulting from migration which the people in charge of the European Union’s policies and the authors of the migration package currently in the making at the UN do not want to acknowledge.
On Friday evening on the public service television news channel M1 György Bakondi highlighted that the people mentioned continue to maintain that mass illegal immigration is a positive phenomenon that needs to be supported, thereby “disregarding” laws, national interests, traditions and sovereignty.
He pointed out that since 2015 almost 30 acts of terrorism have been committed in Europe in which 350 people have died and some 1,500 have been injured.
He highlighted that migrants are continually arriving in Europe from three directions, and this has resulted in a deterioration in the people’s sense of security, a tougher stance on the part of the authorities and the more effective protection of the external borders.
In the context of the parliamentary elections due to take place in nine days’ time, Mr Bakondi also pointed out that, in his view, opposition parties keep changing their positions regarding the issue of migration and seek to speak as little about this topic as possible. Instead they are making promises about health care, education and the transformation of the electoral system. He took the view that the Hungarian people who know a great deal about what is going on in Europe and in the world are right to believe that the public and national security situation which the government has created with its efforts and the closure of the external borders is a great value to be cherished.
