György Bakondi, Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister told Hungarian television channel M1 that cooperation is excellent between Hungarian and Romanian authorities in combating illegal migration.
Mr. Bakondi said that the neighbouring country is stepping up against those who are attempting to cross the border highly effectively, and the process of returning those who get to Hungary is also working.
He further added that traffic is active on all of the three main European migration routes; in Greece the number of registered migrants exceeded 62,000. There is movement and excessive reserves of mainly Syrians setting off from Turkey, while the number of newcomers has doubled in Spain, and multiplied in Italy.
