On Tuesday, György Bakondi, Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, told the Kossuth Rádió programme “180 Minutes” that extraordinary measures against the illegal entry of migrants are still unwarranted on the Romanian and Ukrainian border sections.
According to Mr. Bakondi, on these border sections the number of illegal immigrants is low, and the majority of those arriving there are apprehended. Furthermore, cooperation with Romanian and Ukrainian partner organisations is good, and those who enter Hungary illegally are taken back over the border.
The Chief Security Advisor also said that migrants are continuously arriving in Serbia. They are mainly arriving through Bulgaria, but some of them are arriving through Montenegro, Albania, and Kosovo in Serbia – where some 7,200 are waiting to head for Germany or Sweden.
