“While relying on the high level of support from the population made evident during the course of the National Consultation, the Government must do everything in its power to assure that all circumstances that pose a risk to national security are averted”, the Prime Minister’s Chief Security Advisor, György Bakondi declared with relation to the “Stop Soros” legislative package on Hungarian M1 television’s Friday evening current affairs program.
Mr. Bakondi recalled that foreign funding provided to organisations that facilitate illegal immigration would be hit with a 25 percent duty. “This will enable those involved to contribute to the high-quality maintenance of border security”, he said.
With relation to the immigration restraining orders that the new legislation plans to introduce, the Chief Security Advisor said they would provide an instrument with which the Government will be able to assure the effectiveness of its border protection efforts.
