Chief Security Advisor of the Prime Minister György Bakondi said that it is only from the direction of Romania that people crossed the Hungarian border illegally, that is why the Government particularly focuses on stopping the Hungarian-Romanian border section from becoming the migrants’ new route.

He pointed out that on Friday, only four people crossed the Hungarian-Romanian border illegally, while not a single illegal migrant arrived from the directions of Serbia and Croatia.

According to Mr. Bakondi, it also shows that the “invasion of Europe”, which continues to pose a serious security policy risk, could be stopped by common European will.

In addition, he called the cooperation of a number of countries to protect the Hungarian border exemplary also at a European level.
