“Experience indicates that migrants are setting off towards Europe from more and more countries; most recently particularly from Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan”, György Bakondi said.
Speaking on Hungarian M1 television’s Saturday evening current affairs program, the Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister stressed that many are successfully entering the continent illegally because of the slowness of Greek asylum administration, and Germany is still unable to enforce deportation decisions. “The migrants regularly escape or hide from the authorities”, he added.
The Chief Security Advisor pointed out that Turkey is only counting on some of the almost 4 million immigrants currently present on its territory as labour, and the rest could move on towards the interior of Europe in search of prosperity.
